Prime Day Deals for Quilters

Updated: Jul 17

Here are some of the best Amazon Prime Day deals I found for quilters today!

Rotary Cutters:

This is actually the one I currently use but without their special rulers. I love the shape and feel as I cut.

I have not used these yet! They have high reviews and are a Tungsten Alloy so I am ordering a set to try. I love Olfa Endurance blades which are Tungsten Steel and last twice as long as regular blades. If you order click for the coupon.

Cutting Mats:

WARNING: There is a large Arteza mat on Prime Day sale, but it does not have the lines for 1/4" and 1/8" but instead is marked for in 1/10ths. Don't buy it!!! The only one on sale that I would recommend is this:

This is what I am currently using. It's not a Prime Day Deal, but it is on sale!

Fiskars 18"x24" Folding Cutting Mat I have their 24x36" size and it's lasting well. Note that this is a folding mat and one reviewer had alignment issues on the fold. If you want a larger mat that folds up for travel or storage, this might be perfect for you.

Rulers:

This is my absolute favorite and most used size ruler. I have the Omnigrip in this size, but I'm ordering this one because I like the color better. I plan to use a spray to make it non-slip.

I'm interested in the slightly longer length of this ruler so I am ordering it. The visibility of the numbers and good reviews are promising.

There are several more but I usually don't buy rulers that aren't branded or specifically for quilting since a lot of those have not been designed for and tested by quilters.

Pressing:

I'm not going to get into a whole huge review here. These are the 1800W Pro old version which I have. I appreciate how hot this gets, the lift mechanism makes it easier on the wrist once you get used to it.

I've been waiting for this deal! I have the original mini but I can't tell you how many times I've forgotten to turn it off and been very grateful my house didn't burn down. So this one is a must have for me!

This is one of my personal favorites. There's also a version with a retractable cord.

This is what I'm currently using for most of my piecing. The shape of it makes it feel more like a mini iron so it works well for the small seams. It also auto shuts off which I need. This does not get as hot as the Oliso or Chi though.

You can cut these to fit an ironing board OR use them on your DIY pressing station!

This is great to use while piecing blocks and handy for guild, retreats and travel. This is also the size I have for my pressing cart. (Tutorial for that coming very soon!)

Accessories:

Flat Head Pins Birds and Hearts

These are great for cleaning off those loose threads!

Use these on your seams as they cool off to make them flatter than ever!
